El objetivo del presente trabajo es dar a conocer la problemática de la logopedia en el niño con parálisis cerebral, poco conocida en nuestro país.

El libro se compone de tres partes:

En la primera se desarrollan los conceptos fundamentales en relación a la parálisis cerebral.

En la segunda se explica la problemática general del habla y del lenguaje del paralítico cerebral

En la tercera parte constituye el cuerpo fundamental del trabajo: en ella se desarrolla ampliamente la metodología Tardieu y la metodología Bobath y se comparan ambas.

La realización del presente trabajo ha sido posible debido a la larga experiencia en el campo de la reeducación del habla y el lenguaje con distintos tipos de niños con problemas, con una especial dedicación a los paralíticos cerebrales, en diversos centros e instituciones de Barcelona.

La presente obra es eminentemente didáctica y práctica, y contiene orientaciones y consejos de cómo llevar a cabo, paso a paso, una reeducación de la alimentación, el habla y el lenguaje del niño con parálisis cerebral.

Creemos que puede ser de gran utilidad a aquellos padres, logopedas y maestros terapeutas especializados que dirigen su inquietud al tratamiento de niños con esa clase de trastorno.
